As part of the GAIN Annual Conference and Talent Fair, the University of Cologne will host a virtual workshop, together with the FU Berlin, TU Berlin, and the University of Potsdam.
In this workshop, participants will work in five groups to identify and develop the most important steps and framework conditions for optimizing their own career paths in academia. The transitions between career phases after the Ph.D. will also be examined as they offer important opportunities for shaping one's career.
In addition to interactive presentations of various career paths, participants will also be provided with information on suitable national and international third-party funding opportunities as well as internal university funding. An international researcher, who is one of only a few women in charge of both a cluster of excellence and a DFG Collaborative Research Center, will give a testimonial to round off the workshop.
