Academic Collaboration Opportunities for Researchers

Professors and researchers from UoC, individually, under the frame of universities´ partner network or through funding projects, have diverse collaboration potentials with Chinese professors and scientists.

UoC China Office can provide Cologne researchers

  • Evaluation on potential Chinese partners and initial contacts with Chinese universities
  • Clarification to ambiguous information caused by cultural differences
  • Organization of delegation visits, digital events, and workshops 
  • Translation and proofreading the translation of the agreement
  • Organization of interviews of doctoral candidates


International funding institutions in China

There are different funding opportunities for bilateral academic cooperation:

CDZ (Chinesisch-Deutschen Zentrum für Wissenschaftsförderung), sitting in Beijing, is a Joint-Venture research institution, co-founded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
It offers funding for academic cooperation between Germany and China in the fields of Natural Sciences, Life Science, Management and Engineering. The funding instruments include:
