Dr. Berhan Gessesse Awoke is an Associate Professor of Remote Sensing and is currently working at the Ethiopian Space Science and Geospatial Institute. He completed his Ph.D. at Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen Nürnberg (Germany) in a co-tutelle doctorate. He has participated in PROGRANT training and Train the Trainers courses organised by the University of Cologne. Since 2022, he has been supporting the African postgraduate students funded under the DAAD's Leadership for Africa programme.
