Dr Maha M. Hassan is the Assistant Manager of the Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Department and Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, Prince Mugrin University (PMU). She received her Msc. and Ph.D. from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University on topics related to advanced structural analysis of steel structures. Since then, she has been involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to structural engineering. Her research interests lie in the structural behaviour of various structural elements, with a primary research focus on steel structures, in addition to the inspection and rehabilitation of historic masonry structures. Prior to joining UPM in 2018, Dr Hassan worked as an associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University and as a part-time adjunct professor at the American University in Cairo. She has practical experience as a design manager in the structural department at EHAF Consulting Engineers in Cairo for more than 10 years.
