Indo-German Science and Technology Centre (IGSTC) invites proposals for Joint R&D&I Projects of industrial relevance on 2+2 Mode of Partnership in thematic Areas like sustainable chemical process Technologies, Technologies to mitigate water and air Pollution and solid waste Management Technologies. Applicants from public and private non-profit Research organisations, public and private institutions of higher education, universities and public or private companies are eligible to apply.

Cooperation on Research & Innovation between DBT and the EU in Horizon 2020 Work Programmes

Indian researchers, universities, research organisations and enterprises can team up with European partners to participate in collaborative projects under ‘Horizon 2020’, the funding programme for research and innovation of the European Union. The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and the European Commission (EC) have agreed to establish a Co-Funding Mechanism, by which DBT will fund Indian partners in a collaborative project. Research partners from Indian Government supported academia, research organisations and urban or other local bodies, NGOs and research foundations are eligible for funding.

Call for Applications: ‘Cultures of archival research in Germany and India’

The Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi and the German Research Foundation (DFG) announce a joint call for research proposals addressing the theme of ‘Cultures of Archival Research in Germany and India’. In order to promote critical reflection on archives and their uses by historians, a transnational workshop is being planned which will take place in Germany: first in Marburg between 15 and 18 May 2019, and later in Berlin between 18 and 21 May 2019. The workshop is particularly addressed to about 20 doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers from Germany and India who have already gained some experience in archival research. German participants should be working on aspects of the history of India while Indian participants should be interested in theoretical and methodological questions of archives.

EU-India Call: Next Generation Influenza Vaccine to protect citizens worldwide

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India and the Delegation of the European Union to India announce the EU-India call on Next Generation Influenza Vaccine. The European Commission (EC) through the EU funding programme for research and innovation 'Horizon 2020' and the Department of Biotechnology have committed a funding of EUR 30 million. This call aims at further advancing the next generation influenza vaccine candidate(s) with improved efficacy and safety, duration of immunity, and reactivity against an increased breadth of influenza strains.
