Funding Options for UoC Faculty

The project Cologne Summer Schools provides funding for international student mobility during Spring, Winter and Summer Schools which are planned and organized by UoC affiliated professors and staff.

Cologne Summer Schools' funding takes place in two annual phases:

• for Winter/Spring Schools which take place between January and April

The call is published in October of the previous year. The application deadline is usually November 30th of the previous year.

• for Summer Schools which take place between April and November 

The call is published by the end of November. The application deadline is usually January 31st in the same year in which the summer school is to be conducted.

The application takes place entirely online via our form. The call is open to all faculties, departments, institutes, professorships, and research groups at the University of Cologne. Please note that Cologne Summer Schools provides partial funding. The budget is relatively distributed to all projects. Thus, we do not communicate fixed funding amounts beforehand.

The funding is provided by Cologne Summer Schools - a project at the International Office, Department 9, Team International Mobility.

The last application phase ended on January 31, 2024. The next call for Cologne Winter and Spring Schools will be probably published in October 2024. You will find all information needed for your project draft here on our website.
