Partial funding of Winter, Spring and Summer Schools

As part of the COLOGNE SUMMER SCHOOLS programme the Division International Affairs at the University of Cologne (UoC) uses funding from Santander Universities to support international winter, spring, and summer school projects that are planned and implemented by professors or employees of the UoC. External research institutions or other (international) cooperation partners may be involved, but they must have a partnership with the UoC or the unit organising the summer school.

Since 2020, COLOGNE SUMMER SCHOOLS has supported projects on-site in Cologne or abroad, as well as summer schools that are held online in virtual space or a hybrid context. 

COLOGNE SUMMER SCHOOLS publishes calls for project applications for the partial funding of winter, spring, and summer schools twice a year. The timeframes for the application process for winter, spring, and summer schools in 2025 are:

1. Call opens on October 21 and closes on November 15, 2024 

   The authorisations will be sent by December 15, 2024

    

2. Call opens on December 15, 2024, and closes on January 31, 2025

   The authorisations will be sent by February 28, 2025

In both timeframes, applications can be submitted for winter, spring, and summer schools, which will be realised and invoiced between January and October 2025.
