Are you a University of Cologne partner or alumnus/alumna in the DC-area? The North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW) university liaison offices represented in the United States – University Alliance Ruhr, University of Cologne, Campus OWL – in cooperation with the German Embassy, German Center for Research and Innovation New York (DWIH), American Friends of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and German Research Foundation (DFG) invite you to a Networking Luncheon on Democracy and Diplomacy on the occasion of the Tag der Deutschen Einheit 2024. This event also marks the finale of the initiative NRW-USA Year 2023/24, celebrating the German Federal State’s close ties with the United States.

Opening remarks by Andreas Michaelis, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States. Confirmed Panelists include Michael Polt, Ambassador in Residence, Professor of Practice, School of Politics and Global Studies at the Arizona State University and Emily Campbell, PhD, Asst. Professor of Sociology at Rhode Island College.
