A framework for sustainability and climate change
The University of Cologne is actively working towards climate neutrality; the Climate Protection Act of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia functions as a guideline. In addition, the universities in North Rhine-Westphalia are working with the state government to develop approaches to contribute to the implementation of the climate protection goals. These include, above all, the reduction of greenhouse gases by increasing energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption, expanding renewable energies and climate-friendly mobility concepts.
