Research Stay for six month, Mahdis Zolfaghar from the University of Tehran, Iran.
“I received a fellowship funded by the Competence Area (CA) Food Security and I had the opportunity to stay for six months (may to October 2023) at Prof. Stanislav Kopriva's laboratory, University of Cologne. As visiting student, I conducted a project on the field of C4 photosynthesis. The final results can help to identify more C4 regulators to introduce them to main C3 crops like rice with the aim of increasing production efficiency. This research stay is possible thanks to CA Food Security and I am grateful for this valuable experience.”
