Degree program and module survey

For the systematic and evidence-based quality assurance and development of all degree programmes at the University of Cologne, degree programme and module surveys are conducted regularly. These are quantitative-qualitative online surveys and record the study conditions regarding the quality criteria of the University of Cologne from the perspective of the students. The degree programme survey includes assessments of study and examination organization, feasibility of the programme, internationalization and counselling. In addition, the module survey includes assessments of coherence, internal organization and the final module examination.

The following developments are aimed at in order to fully exploit the potential of the degree programme and module survey:

• A qualitative survey format is to be developed for degree programmes with only a few enrolled students.
• The module survey is intended to record the acquisition of module-specific competencies.
• The reporting of the survey results is to be continuously developed to facilitate their evaluation by those responsible.
