This initiative aims to enhance Entrepreneurial University Strategies within Higher Education Institutions to address the challenges of the 21st century, in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

ACCENT is funded by the European Commission as an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships project (KA220) for 36 months from 28 February 2022 with a budget of 396'400€.

The project focuses on three specific areas that are underrepresented in current strategies:

• Internationalization of Entrepreneurial Strategies: Developing and improving strategies to internationalize entrepreneurial efforts within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
• Gender Equality Support: Promoting gender equality by providing support for female entrepreneurs.
• Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting diversity and reducing inequality by supporting international and refugee students in creating innovative entrepreneurial solutions.

The collaboration involves three HEIs – the University of Cologne, the University of Granada, and the University of Pavia – exchanging best practices over a 36-month period starting from 2022. The project aims to identify successful strategies for developing and implementing international entrepreneurial universities and supporting programs for international, refugee, and female students. The ultimate goal is to create a training program that supports the early internationalization of start-ups and increases the number of international and female entrepreneurs. Two train-the-trainer courses in Cologne and Granada will facilitate the dissemination of knowledge within partner universities.
By addressing these key areas, the project aims to unlock the creative potential within the European common market, contributing to global change and fostering innovation in response to major challenges. The incorporation of Sustainable Development Goals, such as reducing inequality, promoting gender equality, innovation, and building partnerships, reflects a holistic approach to societal and global issues.
