DWIH Future Forum 2024: Science Diplomacy in an Era of Technological Disruption

The German Center for Research & Innovation (DWIH) is curating the annual Future Forum conference focusing on German and American researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, innovators, and experts to discuss their experiences.

This year's theme "Science Diplomacy in an Era of Technological Disruption" will prompt conversations about the influence of AI, biotechnology, and other current developments in this field on international relations. The event fosters global dialogue at the intersection of science, diplomacy, and technology. 

UoC NY Office Executive Director Dr. Eva Bosbach will be moderating the panel discussion on "Actors, Institutions & Networks" featuring the following expert panel:

  • E. William Colglazier, Editor-in-Chief of Science & Diplomacy, Senior Scholar in the Center for Science Diplomacy at the AAAS

  • Marcus Weller, Head of Technology at Pinnacle Minds, Advisor on AI at the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center

  • Derya Büyüktanir Karacan, Professional Lecturer at the George Washington University, Regional Coordinator at EURAXESS North America

  • Ona Ambrozaite, Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Science Diplomacy Hub at the JHU Bloomberg Center

  • Christian Rieck, Executive Director at Aim - Academy for Innovative Education and Management
