Accreditation

The University of Cologne previously complied with the obligation of regularly accredit of its degree programmes as part of programme accreditation in cooperation with external agencies. After the successful system accreditation in 2023, it received the seal of the Accreditation Council confirming that the internal quality management system Q³UoC is suitable for reviewing the requirements from the Study Accreditation Regulations.

On the following pages, the individual process steps are shown, in particular for the possible initiators of a new degree programme or re-accreditation (subject managers, Faculty QM, deans of studies). In addition to the composition and task of the Accreditation Commission and the format of the QM dialogue, the accredited degree programmes are also presented in an overview.
