The University of Cologne on the current violations of human rights in Iran
The University of Cologne concurs with the statement of its Academy for European Human Rights Protection on the situation in Iran.
„Under the slogan 'Women, Life, Freedom' civil society in Iran is defending basic human rights. As reported in the news, repressive measures against civil society have already lead to many injuries and deaths. Students are involved in the protests, universities are being closed. The 'European Academy for Human Rights' expresses its solidarity with those who peacefully protest and stand up for their universally recognized basic human rights.“
The German Rectors' Conference (HRK) and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) have also issued statements.
