3rd Advanced Talents Day on January 11th, 2018

Are you frequently facing questions like: Is this the right career path for me? Academia or rather private enterprise? Do I really have what it takes to be a professor? How can I balance family and career?

The 3rd Advanced Talents Day offers the chance to inform yourselves about career opportunities in- and outside Academia. Use this chance to reflect on your individual career plans and to (re)develop them according to your potential and needs. Clarify questions about appointment negotiations and application procedures, and expand your academic network by meeting fellow researchers from the University of Cologne and RWTH Aachen University.

We sincerely invite you to participate in the 3rd Advanced Talents Day. Vice-rector Prof. Dr. Henssler and vice-rector Prof. Dr. Klee will deliver high-quality introductory talks about scientific career models at the University of Cologne and RWTH Aachen University. Additionally, the program will include interactive workshops and extensive information offers on career planning.

We will conclude the day with our special guest “Quichotte“, a stand-up comedian and slam-poet from Cologne.

Please note: Non-native German speakers are very welcome to participate, though the program will be in German only.

On August 22, 2022 RWTH Aachen University - together with the University of Cologne and Forschungszentrum Jülich - invites you to the Advanced Talents Day at the SuperC. 

Our speakers will present valuable inputs on specifics on recent developments in science communication, current research assessment reform, responsibility in research and innovation, and equal opportunities in research and academia.
Take the opportunity to inform yourself about career paths and strategies on the way to becoming a professor, to receive valuable impulses and to network.
