International doctoral studies

The internationalization of studies, teaching and research has always been part of the University of Cologne's self-image. This is also reflected in the numbers of our researchers in their qualification phases (RiQ) - almost one in five doctorates at the UoC is 'international', i.e. completed by doctoral candidates with foreign citizenship.

In addition, we want to give doctoral candidates at the University of Cologne plenty of room to gain their own international experience.
