Integrity in business
Integrity in business is of high importance to the UoC. To this end, the UoC pursues an active strategy of corruption prevention both internally and externally and does not tolerate any form of corruption, bribery or taking advantage. In this context, it pays particular attention to the handling of gifts, sponsoring and invitations. The UoC is guided by the Anti-Corruption Act of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Korruptionsbekämpfungsgesetz NRW) in its efforts to prevent corruption. Other central areas of action are the separation of professional and private interests, especially with regard to data protection, IT security and the use of the University's vehicle fleet. The UoC has also developed its own guidelines for hospitality, which regulate the basic framework in more detail.
