On 28 March H.E. Harish Parvathaneni, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Germany, was welcomed by Rector Professor Dr Joybrato Mukherjee at the University of Cologne.

They talked about opportunities and challenges for academic cooperation, closer institutional networking, innovations and start-ups. Generally, a large proportion of international students at German universities originate from India.

After a joint lunch, the ambassador visited the Institute of South Asian and Southeast Asian Studies (SASOA) at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
