Competence Area II - Social and Economic Behavior

The Competence Area II - Social and Economic Behavior - was initiated in 2013 as part of the University of Cologne's Institutional Strategy. Its goal is to foster the interdisciplinary collaboration of researchers from different faculties that explore human behavior and its origins in social and economic contexts and apply their insights for the better of society. It encompasses researchers of the University of Cologne from different areas such as media studies, neurosciences, law, political sciences and economics and, moreover, scholars from Max-Planck-Institutes in Cologne and Bonn.
