China Education Expo is the largest international education fair in China. In 2021, the University of Cologne participated in the "Study in Germany" pavilion in a hybrid format. This experimental event was organized by Gate Germany and offered the visitors in China the hybrid combination of counseling: the off-line guidance presented by DAAD and APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) + the web talk with fourteen German education institutions. The students and Chinese institutions were able to use four-terminal equipment at the DAAD booth to directly communicate with German universities in spite that some of them could not physically participate in this fair.
