Vergangene Veranstaltungen

On 28 June the  Welcome Centre of the UoC’s International Office invited all international scholars and their hosts for the 12. International Get-Together. An evening dedicated to academic networking and socializing, that more than 70 people attended.

For the first time in 12 years it took place in a changed setting. Whereas in previous years the gathering was held on campus this year it was time for a change. Therefore a location off campus was sought and found at the Biergarten on Aachener Weiher.

Dr. Mueller (Head of the Department for International Science) initiated the evening by giving some insights into the recent development concerning Internationalization and the “Excellence Initiative”. The results of which will be out on 19 July 2019.

These results are very important, as they decide if the University of Cologne can continue to officially claim its status as an Excellence University. 

After that everyone gathered around the BBQ and enjoyed some cold drinks and a nice summer evening which colleagues, friends and family members from all over the world.
