Careers in Germany
If you consider to stay and work in Germany after graduation you should prepare this step as early as possible. Internships, relevant part time jobs & getting to know potential employers while you are still a student will likely help you a lot when searching for an appropriate job after graduation.
How to prepare best differs in regards to the area of your studies / your aimed career path as well as your future employer. However, there are also many similarities. What counts for everyone: The earlier you start to prepare, the higher the chances to successfully find your career path.
Due to the corona crisis we can't offer face-to-face appointments. We offer email and zoom consultations in German and English.

In the current corona crisis:
Due to the corona crisis, some students are currently losing their jobs. However, there is currently a rather large number of temporary jobs that are offered. Especially jobs in supermarkets, in care and as harvest helpers are urgently needed. These temporary jobs probably do not fit the individual career planning, but at least they show that you stay flexible and socially committed in a crisis. This can also look positive in a CV. It also helps overcoming a financial bottleneck.
The following platforms can help you find a job (for more plattforms please look under the section "external job engines"):
Kölner Stellenwerk: https://www.stellenwerk-koeln.de/
Here you can find many jobs especially for students. You can filter by parameters, e.g. full-time job, part-time job, temporary job; employer: university, private, company; etc.
Harvester platform: https://www.daslandhilft.de/
This platform was created especially for the placement of urgently needed harvest workers in the Corona crisis
