Language Competence

Proof of language proficiency in at least two living foreign languages:

You can provide proof of your language competence in the form of school reports or certificates from universities and other recognised educational institutions.

The following guidelines apply:

  • school certificates: proof of at least four years of schooling or one year’s attendance at a language school abroad
  • certificates: proof of at least one year’s study of a foreign language or a certificate at level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
  • semester abroad: proof of at least one semester of study abroad in a foreign language
